Privacy

Putnam Local Scoop is a free local email newsletter for Putnam County, NY, written by Catherine Rosado. This page says, in plain language, what we collect and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Your email address — only if you type it into the subscribe box. That's the whole list.
• Subscription state — whether you've confirmed, and whether you've unsubscribed, so we only email people who asked.

What we don't do

• We don't sell, rent, or share your email address with advertisers or data brokers.
• We don't run third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this site today. If we add privacy-masked analytics later (to see which stories people read), this page gets updated first.
• We don't collect your name, location, or browsing history.

Your controls

• Unsubscribe — every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. It works immediately and we keep no "marketing" copy of your address afterward.
• Correct or delete — email hello@putnamlocalscoop.com and we'll fix or erase your subscription record.

Community tips

If you send us a news tip, we verify it before publishing and we don't print your name without asking you first.
