Terms of Use

Welcome to Putnam Local Scoop, a free local newsletter and website for Putnam County, NY, operated by Catherine Rosado. By using this site you accept these plain-language terms.

What this site is

• Summaries of local public information — city notices, public meeting calendars, weather and service alerts, community events — with sources linked so you can check them yourself.
• Opinion-free, AI-assisted, human-reviewed local reporting. AI assistance is disclosed; a human approves every issue before publication.

What it is not

• Not emergency guidance. In an emergency call 911. Weather, road, and public-safety items here are informational summaries and may be delayed, corrected, or superseded by official alerts.
• Not professional advice. Nothing here is legal, financial, medical, or safety advice.
• Not guaranteed complete. We summarize what we can verify; an empty alerts page means quiet feeds, not a promise nothing is happening.

Corrections

We fix mistakes on the record. If something here is wrong, email corrections@putnamlocalscoop.com — material corrections are dated and noted on the page, not silently edited.
